Parkland's first-ever Earth Day "Battle of the Bands" concert, featuring a special performance by indie rock band So Many Dynamos, was held on Saturday, April 24, at Parkland College.

The concert was sponsored by 88.7 The Wave, Parkland College, and Pogo Studio. The winning band received a cash prize and studio time at Pogo Studio in Champaign.

Eight bands competed for the prize but when all was said and done Sun Stereo came out on top. Year of the Bobcat finished second, while Seldan came in third. Watch the performances online or on PCTV and then use our online poll to vote for the band you thought was best.
