Online registration is available to anyone who has access to the Internet. The system is web-based and can be accessed by any PC or Mac that can be connected to the Internet. The system is called the Parkland Connection.
Parkland Connection allows you to:
- Enroll in a class or drop a class
- Check course availability
- Look at and print your schedule
- Check and print your grades
- Change your address or PIN number
- Check your bill and pay by credit card
To login you must be admitted to Parkland, or be a current student. (You may check course availability or access bill payment without logging in.)
- Go to the Parkland Connection website.
- Click the Login button on the left side of the screen.
- Enter your user Name and password. If you do not have a username you will need to click on the "Create New Account" link to the left and assign yourself a username and password at this time.
- You are now logged into Parkland Connection.
- You must be logged in to register or drop classes. Select a term from the pull-down menu on the left side of the screen.
- Select the Course Offerings/Registration link and you will be presented with the list of courses. Next select the course prefi x in which you wish to enroll and you will be presented with a list of the course numbers available for that term.
- Select the course number and you will be presented with a list of available sections and their status. Once you have selected a course you can register for the course by clicking on the Register link on the right side of the course listing.
- Your selection will be displayed in a box along the top of the course offering/ registration screen with a message in the Pending Action box indicating Register me for this course. to register for the course click on Perform at the right side of the box, or on the Perform All button. If the registration is successful, the record will show enrolled under the Status section of the box. You may now select another course to add to your schedule.
- Once you have completed all of your registration, remember to logout of the system by clicking on the Logout button on the left side of the page.
- Once you have logged in, from the main menu select Course Offerings/ Registration.
- Courses in which you are currently registered will be displayed in the Registered Course box at the top of the screen.
- If you wish to drop a class, click on the Drop link at the left end of the course box.
- You will be presented with the Action Queue Box and under the pending status a message will be displayed indicating that you wish to be dropped from the class. to continue, press the Perform All button.
- You may be asked to select a reason that you are dropping the course. Select the appropriate reason and press continue. If you have additional classes, the course will be removed from your course listing. If the course dropped is the only course in which you were registered for that term, you will receive a message at the top of the page that you are not registered for classes during that term.
- When you have completed dropping your class log out of the system by clicking the Logout button on the left side of the page.
